James Hopes hit an unbeaten 55 from 46 balls as but it wasn't enough as a Yasir Hameed century and a half-century from Faisal Iqbal ensured Pakistan A emerged victorious from the opening one-dayer in Lahore.Chasing 233 to win, Australian hopes were raised then Doug Bollinger dismissed Taufeeq Umar for 9 before Hameed added 41 with Khalid Latif (32) and then an unbroken partnership of 165 with captain Iqbal.Hameed's runs came from 111 balls and included 15 fours, while Iqbal faced 96 deliveries, six of which were despatched for four, and two for maximums.Pakistan A required 41 overs to seal the win.Earlier, Australia's innings got off to a poor start when Luke Ronchi was dismissed for a six-ball duck and David Hussey departed for 18, before Phil Jaques (46) and captain Adam Voges (44) added 51 for the third wicket to stabilise the innings.Taufeeq Umar picked up the wickets of Voges and Cameron White for 12 before Hopes's heroics, which included five fours in his innings, pushed Australia to a competitive score.Umar returned the best figures of two for 33 while there was a wicket each for Mohammad Irshad and Tahir Khan.
